SCRIP

What is SCRIP?

When St. Francis parishioners purchase SCRIP, they are purchasing gift cards or certificates that are used just like cash. The SCRIP is issued at local and national retailers where many of us already shop. The merchants want to support non-profit organizations like St. Francis School, so they sell gift cards at a discounted rate. People like us who want to support these organizations buy the gift cards at face value. You don’t lose anything when you shop with SCRIP-any unused balances on gift cards remain on the card and can be used when you shop again. You can use SCRIP to purchase everyday expenses (like groceries and gas) or give to family & friends as gifts. With every purchase, revenue is earned for our school. It is as simple as that!!!

PrestoPay

If you order SCRIP on-line, you may choose to enroll in PRESTO PAY. Your SCRIP total, plus a 39 cent service fee, will be automatically withdrawn from the account that you designate. The funds come out the day you place your order. Signing up involves just a few quick steps...

  1. You may want to watch the tutorials on Presto Pay on the Great Lakes website.
  2. Then log into your Great Lakes SCRIP account. (If you have never ordered on line before you will need to call Kris at 715-536-2803 to obtain directions, your password and user name)
  3. Your family page will read, “You do not have a Presto Pay account. Click here to create one”.
  4. Next read the description of how the program works. Pay close attention to the NSF section. You will be charged for any NSF items. After one NSF item you will lose your PRESTO PAY privileges. Click Yes if you agree
  5. Enter your bank name, account name, account type, routing number, account number, and validation code. Click Next
  6. Within 2-3 business days Great Lakes will place 2 very small “dummy” deposits into your account. This is to make sure they have the correct account information. Once you see these deposits in your account, go to the Great Lakes website to finish setting up your account.
  7. On the top of the page you will see “Your Presto account has not been verified, click here to verify.” When you click, it brings you to the page where you will enter those 2 deposit amounts.
  8. After you have successfully set up your account you will receive an approval code. This code must be given to Kris at the Parish Office. I do not have access to your bank account information with this code. I use it to track profit.

Please note, you must have one Great Lakes item in your order. Your SCRIP order still will be shipped to St. Francis. Your order may be picked up at Mass, the parish office, or sent home with your children. Please call Kris at 715-536-2803 if you have any further questions.
