Music

Family Choir

The goal of the Family Choir program is to enhance the music at our Catholic liturgies, encourage singing by the assembly, and provide an outlet for the musical talent that our parish has been blessed with.

Participants in the Family Choir program are actively involved in the spiritual and liturgical life of the church. In addition to singing in the choir, many of our members serve as Eucharistic ministers, readers, ushers, etc.

Family Choir rehearsals are held almost every Tuesday from 6:45 – 8:00 p.m. in the church. The purpose of these rehearsals is to prepare to sing two Sundays each month in addition to special liturgies. Because there will always be exceptions, please review the schedule below and make note of the changes.

Adopt a Drum Program

Our music program impacts over one hundred students in the school and many more in our church music ensembles. We currently own three African drums and other percussion instruments that are used in drum ensembles. We would like to provide a world music drumming curriculum, which not only teaches students how to drum, but also teaches character development. This curriculum will be used in the St. Francis Middle School, plus some elementary classes and the middle and high school choirs.
